Description of the accommodation

This original windmill is a truly unique spot! From its elevated position, the views are simply breathtaking, and the loving restoration has retained many of the original features. In the windmill tower you will find a labyrinth of 'nooks and crannies' on the spiral staircase. Outside is a gorgeous saltwater pool surrounded by an abundance of secret shady hideaways and sunbathing spots. This is a real treasure...perfect rural retreat. The use of a car is essential, Tavira is 15 minutes drive.

The main living accommodation is an attached annexe to the windmill. The interior décor is traditional and cosy, combined with features that guarantee its visitors a truly comfortable stay. The country-style kitchen is well applianced and opens into a small lounge with nook fireplace and wall mounted TV. The 2 bedrooms comprise 1 master suite with ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom with the use of a separate bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The restoration is both wonderful and fascinating. From the entrance hall the windmill tower has an internal spiral staircase where you can climb to the top and feel the history of the property first registered back in 1812. At the top of the mill, you can look beyond the sails right out to the ocean and relive the views of the millers all those years ago! Meanwhile, the outside space compliments the traditional feel of the property with its untouched surroundings. Only the refreshing salt water swimming pool gives way to a modern feature! A tree shaded dining area is perfect for breakfast and evening meals, alongside the pool, embraced by bushes and trees and a lovely hillside scenery. 360-degree panoramic views make this a wonderful retreat to escape from the rigors of everyday life.

This is a private accommodation and guests will be able to access all advertised areas and use all advertised facilities. The main living accommodation is on one level, with 3 steps leading from the kitchen to lounge. The windmill tower has a small, spiral staircase to reach the top (3 storeys). Parking is within the grounds of the property.
